A regular meeting of the Township of Nipissing Council was held on Tuesday, November 26, 2013.

Present: Mayor Pat Haufe and Councillors Tom Butler, Tom Piper and Liz Smith.

Staff and visitors present: Dave Yemm, John-Paul Negrinotti, Kris Croskery-Hodgins and Charles Barton.

Regrets: Councillor Dougal Culham

The meeting was called to order at 6:30 p.m.

R2013-221 L. Smith, T. Piper: That the minutes of the meeting held November 12, 2013 be adopted as published. Carried.

Discussion regarding 2014 Municipal Election planning. Advanced poll dates were reviewed.

Councillor Tom Butler declared pecuniary interest as his Spouse is an employee of the Township of Nipissing. Councillor Butler left the Council Chambers.

A Pay Equity Review Report submitted by Weaver, Simmons was discussed.

Councillor Tom Butler returned to the Council Chamber.

R2013-222 T. Butler, T. Piper: That we authorize the CAO-Clerk to attend the 2014 AMCTO Annual Conference. Carried.

R2013-223 L. Smith, T. Butler: That we accept the correspondence as presented. Carried.

R2013-224 T. Piper, T. Butler: That the statement of accounts dated: November 19, 22, 25 and 26, 2013, totaling $131,627.32, be approved. Carried.

R2013-225 T. Butler, L. Smith: That we pass By-Law No. 2013-37, being a by-law to confirm the proceedings of Council at its meeting held on November 26, 2013. Read the first, second and third time and passed this 26th day of November, 2013. Carried.

R2013-226 T. Piper, L. Smith: That the meeting be adjourned. Time: 8:01 p.m. Next regular meeting December 17, 2013. Carried.
