TOWNSHIP OF NIPISSING
Tuesday, November 18, 2014

A regular meeting of the Township of Nipissing Council was held on Tuesday, November 18, 2014.

Present: Mayor Pat Haufe and Councillors Tom Butler, Dougal Culham, Tom Piper and Liz Smith.

Staff and visitors present: Rob Serson, Dave Yemm, John-Paul Negrinotti and Charles Barton.

The meeting was called to order at 6:30 p.m.

Staff Reports:

John-Paul Negrinotti, EDO-CEMC-Planning Assistant – verbal report.

Councillor Liz Smith excused at 7:07 p.m. for personal reasons.

R2014-186 D. Culham, T. Butler: That the minutes of the meeting held October 21, 2014 be adopted as published. Carried.

R2014-187 T. Piper, T. Butler: That we pass By-Law Number 2014-42, being a By-law to enter into a Shared Services Agreement with the Municipality of Callander for the provision of Fire Chief Administration services for the Township of Nipissing.
Read a first, second and third time and passed this 18th day of November, 2014. Carried.

R2014-188 D. Culham, T. Piper: That we award the Municipal Audit RFP to KPMG for the years 2014, 2015 and 2016. Carried.

R2014-189 T. Butler, D. Culham: That we appoint Kerry Kloiber to the Recreation Committee. Carried.

R2014-190 T. Butler, T. Piper: That the Township Office will have the following Christmas Holiday hours:
Wednesday, December 24th – 8:30 a.m. to 12:00 p.m.
Thursday, December 25th – closed
Friday, December 26th – closed
Wednesday, December 31, 2014 – 8:30 a.m. to 12:00 p.m.
Thursday, January 1, 2015 – closed

Draft changes and recommendations for the User Fee By-Law were circulated to Council for review. Passage of By-Law to be placed on the December 2, 2014 Council Agenda.

R2014-191 T. Butler, T. Piper : That we accept the correspondence as presented. Carried.

R2014-192 T. Piper, D. Culham: That the statement of accounts dated: October 22, October 31, November 7 and November 18, 2014, totaling $157,241.95, be approved. Carried.

R2014-193 D. Culham, T. Butler: That we accept the work orders completed by Kathryn Good, Good Energy Solutions, RE: Save on Energy – Small Business Lighting Program in order to upgrade lighting in Municipal Buildings. Carried.

R2014- 194 T. Piper, T. Butler : That we pass By-Law No. 2014-43, being a by-law to confirm the proceedings of Council at its meeting held on November 18, 2014. Read the first, second and third time and passed this 18th day of November, 2014. Carried.

R2014-195 T.Piper, D. Culham: That the meeting be adjourned. Time: 9:22 p.m. Next regular meeting December 2, 2014. Carried.
