TOWNSHIP OF NIPISSING
Tuesday, April 5, 2016

A regular meeting of the Township of Nipissing Council was held on Tuesday, April 5, 2016.

Present: Mayor Pat Haufe and Councillors Linda Andersen, Tom Butler, Tom Piper and Liz Smith.

Staff and visitors present: Dave Yemm, John-Paul Negrinotti, Kris Croskery-Hodgins and Charles Barton.

The meeting was called to order at 6:30 p.m.

Disclosure of pecuniary interest: None.

Staff Reports: Dave Yemm, Operations Superintendent – written and verbal report.
John-Paul Negrinotti, EDO-CEMC-Planning Assistant – verbal report.

R2016-75 L. Smith, T. Piper: That the minutes of the meeting held March 22, 2016 be adopted as published. Carried.

R2016-76 L. Andersen, T. Butler: That this part of our meeting will be closed to the public as authorized by Section 239(2) of the Municipal Act, 2001, c. 25, for consideration of the following subject matter:
b) personal matters about an identifiable individual, including municipal or local board employees;

R2016-77 L. Smith, T. Piper: That we resume to an open public meeting. Time: p.m. Carried.

R2016-78 T. Butler, L. Andersen: That we pass By-Law 2016-19, being a By-law to deem part of Registered Plan M107 in the Township of Nipissing not to be a Registered Plan of Subdivision for the purposes of Section 50(4) of the Planning Act.
Read a first, second and third time and passed this 5th day of April, 2016. Carried.

R2016-79 T. Piper, L. Smith: That we pass By-Law Number 2016-20, being a By-Law to confirm the appointment of members to the Township of Nipissing Committee of Adjustment.
Read a first, second and third time and passed this 5th day of April, 2016. Carried.

Council reviewed the April Newsletter Draft and made comment.

R2016-80 L. Andersen, T. Butler: That we accept the correspondence as presented. Carried.

R2016-81 L. Smith, T. Butler: That the statement of accounts dated March 23 and April 5, 2016; totaling $137,510.55, be approved. Carried.

R2016-82 T. Butler, L. Andersen: That we pass By-Law Number 2016-21, being a By-Law to authorize the Township to enter into a Site Plan Agreement with Fred Welsh and Debbie Clark.
Read a first, second and third time and passed this 5th day of April, 2016. Carried.

R2016-83 T. Piper, L. Smith: That we pass By-Law Number 2016-22, being a By-Law to authorize the Township to enter into a Site Plan Agreement with Dale and Susan Cunningham.
Read a first, second and third time and passed this 5th day of April, 2016. Carried.

R2016-84 L. Andersen, T. Butler: That we pass By-Law No. 2016-23, being a by-law to confirm the proceedings of Council at its meeting held on April 5, 2016. Read the first, second and third time and passed this 5th day of April, 2016. Carried.

R2016-85 L. Smith, T. Piper: That the meeting be adjourned. Time: 8:15 p.m. Next regular meeting April 19, 2016. Carried.
