A regular meeting of the Township of Nipissing Council was held on Tuesday, December 20, 2016.

Present: Mayor Tom Piper, Councillors Linda Andersen, Tom Butler, Tom Marchant and Liz Smith.

Staff and visitors present: Todd Daley, Dave Yemm, John-Paul Negrinotti, Kris Croskery-Hodgins and Charles Barton.

The meeting was called to order at 6:30 p.m.

R2016-267 T. Marchant, L. Smith: That the minutes of the meeting held December 6, 2016 be adopted as published. Carried.

R2016-268 T. Butler, L. Andersen: That the minutes of the closed session meeting held December 6, 2016 be adopted. Carried.

R2016-269 L. Smith, T. Marchant: That we adopt By-Law Number 2016-62, being a By-law to amend the Remuneration Schedule in the Township of Nipissing Pay Equity Plan.
Read a first, second and third time and passed this 20th day of December, 2016. Carried.

2016-270 L. Andersen, T. Butler: That we pass By-Law No. 2016-63, being a By-law to establish the remuneration and payment of expenses to members of Council.
Read a first, second and third time and passed this 20th day of December, 2016. Carried.

2016-271 T. Marchant, L. Smith: That we pass By-Law Number 2016-64, being a By-law to confirm the appointment of members to the Township of Nipissing Committee of Adjustment.

2016-272 T. Butler, L. Andersen: That we pass By-Law Number 2016-65, being a By-law to authorize temporary borrowing from time to time to meet current expenditures during the fiscal year ending December 31, 2017.

R2016-273 L. Smith, T. Marchant: That we transfer the machine credit for the Road Equipment to reserve at the end of 2016. Carried.

R2016-274 T. Butler, L. Andersen: That we transfer the machine credit for the Landfill Excavator to reserve at the end of 2016. Carried.

R2016-275 T. Marchant, L. Smith: That we transfer $30,000 to reserve for Fire Equipment. Carried.

R2016-276 L. Andersen, T. Butler: That we accept the correspondence as presented. Carried.

R2016-277 L. Smith, T. Marchant: That the statement of accounts dated: December 15, 16 and 20, 2016; totaling $207,678.77, be approved. Carried.

2016-278 T. Butler, L. Andersen: That we direct the Treasurer-Deputy Clerk to proceed with tax registration on potential registerable properties. Carried.

2016-279 T. Marchant, L. Smith: That we adopt the 2016 Accessibility Plan Review as presented. Carried.

R2016-280 L. Andersen, T. Butler: That we pass By-Law No. 2016-66, being a by-law to confirm the proceedings of Council at its meeting held on December 20, 2016. Read the first, second and third time and passed this 20th day of December, 2016. Carried.

R2016-281 L. Smith, T. Marchant: That the meeting be adjourned. Time: 7:42 p.m. Next regular meeting January 3, 2017. Carried.
