A regular meeting of the Township of Nipissing Council was held on Tuesday, February 7, 2017.

Present: Mayor Tom Piper, Councillors Linda Andersen, Tom Butler, Tom Marchant and Liz Smith.

Staff and visitors present: Dave Yemm, John-Paul Negrinotti and Charles Barton.

The meeting was called to order at 6:30 p.m.

R2017-025 L. Andersen, T. Butler: That the minutes of the meeting held January 17, 2017 be adopted as published. Carried.

R2017-026 L. Smith, T. Marchant: That we recommend consent application No. B/1/NIPISSING/2017, Creation of a new lot, applicant Paul Goodridge for property owner Derek McComb, for approval subject to the following conditions:
1. The lot must comply with the Township of Nipissing’s Official Plan policies.
2. That the applicant file an Application to Consolidate Parcels (PINS) including the severance land and the abutting lands. This PIN consolidation is intended to reinforce the Planning Act stipulation that all parcels have merged on Title and cannot be conveyed separately in the future and to eliminate additional roll numbers. The resultant severed lot will have one PIN. The resultant retained lot will have one PIN.
3. As per section 3.3.8 of the Official Plan, the owner of the subject land shall dedicate a minimum 10 metres on either side of the existing road centerline to the municipality for road purposes.
4. The owner of the subject land shall transfer Part 3 on 42R-20658 to the Municipality for road purposes.
5. A copy of the decision of the North Almaguin Planning Board be forwarded to the Township of

R2017-027 T. Butler, L. Andersen: That we pass By-Law Number 2017-08, being a By-law to adopt a revised Asset Management Plan for the Township of Nipissing.
Read a first, second and third time and passed this 7th day of February, 2017. Carried.

R2017-028 T. Marchant, L. Smith : That we provide a letter of support to the Powassan and District Union Public Library for a grant application to the Ontario Senior’s Community Grant program. Carried.

R2017-029 T. Butler, L. Andersen: That we accept the correspondence as presented. Carried.

R2017-030 L. Smith, T. Marchant: That the statement of accounts dated: January26, February 6 and 7, 2017; totaling $125,334.86, be approved. Carried.

R2017-031 L. Andersen, T. Butler: That we accept the resignation of Rhonda Hyatt from the Township of Nipissing Recreation Committee. Carried.

R2017-032 T. Marchant, L. Smith: That we donate $2,000 to the Commanda General Store Museum for 2017 operating expenses.

R2017-033 T. Butler, L. Andersen: That we pass By-Law No. 2017-09, being a by-law to confirm the proceedings of Council at its meeting held on February 7, 2017. Read the first, second and third time and passed this 7th day of February, 2017. Carried.

R2017-034 L. Smith, T. Marchant : That the meeting be adjourned. Time: 8:17p.m. Next regular meeting February 22, 2017. Carried.
