A regular meeting of the Township of Nipissing Council was held on Tuesday, June 6, 2017.

Present: Mayor Tom Piper, Councillors Linda Andersen, Tom Butler, Tom Marchant and Liz Smith.

Staff and visitors present: Dave Yemm, Kris Croskery-Hodgins and Charles Barton.

The meeting was called to order at 6:30 p.m.

R2017-114 L. Smith, T. Marchant: That the minutes of the meeting held May 23, 2017 be adopted as published. Carried.

R2017-115 T. Butler, L. Andersen: That the minutes of the closed session meeting held May 23, 2017 be adopted. Carried.

R2017-116 T. Marchant, L. Smith: That we authorize two bins from the Diabetes Canada’s Textile Diversion Program to be placed at the Township landfill locations. Carried.

R2017-117 L. Andersen, T. Butler: That we approve the Powassan Food Bank Funding Request of 1/3 membership cost of the Ontario Foodbank Association, totaling $416.67 for 2017. Carried.

R2017-118 T. Butler, L. Andersen: That we accept the correspondence as presented. Carried.

R2017-119 L. Smith, T. Marchant: That the statement of accounts dated: June 1 and 6, 2017; totaling $203,586.29, be approved. Carried.

R2017-120 L. Andersen, T. Butler: That we pass By-Law No. 2017-24, being a by-law to confirm the proceedings of Council at its meeting held on June 6, 2017. Read the first, second and third time and passed this 6th day of June, 2017. Carried.
