DESCRIPTION:July 7\, 2026 \nHighway 534 Closure Notice – July 13\, 2026 – July 20\, 2026 \n  \nPlease be advised that the Ministry of Transportation (MTO) will be closing Highway 534 from July 13 to July 20\, 2026 to complete a culvert replacement project. \nDuring this closure\, The Township of Nipissing Fire Department will continue to provide emergency services. We have coordinated response plans with our neighbouring Fire Departments to ensure coverage throughout the construction period. \nPlease Note: Due to the Highway closure and necessary detours\, emergency response times may be longer than normal. While we are committed to responding as quickly and safely as possible\, residents should be aware of the potential for delays during this time. \nWe encourage everyone to plan ahead\, use extra caution\, and avoid unnecessary travel through the construction area. If you encounter an emergency\, continue to call 911 as you normally would\, if you have any questions or for non-emergency please contact me at the information below. \nWe appreciate your patience and understanding as this important infrastructure work is completed.
