Black Youth Forum: The Future is Now!
Honourable MP Anthony Rota encourages participation in online event.

February 19th 2021 – North Bay, Ontario

As part of Black History Month 2021, the Honourable Bardish Chagger, Minister of Diversity and Inclusion and Youth, on behalf of the Government of Canada, is pleased to invite people to The Federal Black Youth Forum: The Future is Now on Tuesday, February 23, 2021, at 6:45 p.m.

The virtual forum will convene a panel of young Black leaders as well as legislators, policymakers and program administrators who seek to better understand the persisting barriers affecting Black youth as well as ways in which federal programs combatting systemic anti-Black racism can best be implemented.

Honourable MP for Nipissing-Timiskaming Anthony Rota says, “During Black History Month we celebrate the historic accomplishments of Black Canadians. But it is also important to look ahead and have conversations where we can better understand the work that needs to be done to combat systemic racism. I want to encourage business leaders and activists in Nipissing-Timiskaming to take part in this forum and listen to what they have to say so that we may be able to break down those barriers even further.”

Please send an RSVP before 5:00 p.m. on February 22, 2021 to: pch.diyinvitations-diyinvitations.pch@canada.ca
Participants will receive the Zoom login information prior to the event.
Simultaneous interpretation will be available in both English and French.
Should you require closed captioning services or sign language interpretation, please indicate it in your RSVP.
