TOWNSHIP OF NIPISSING
Tuesday, May 8, 2018
A regular meeting of the Township of Nipissing Council was held on Tuesday, May 8, 2018.
Present: Mayor Tom Piper, Councillors Linda Andersen, Tom Marchant and Liz Smith.
Regrets: Councillor Tom Butler
Staff and visitors present: Dave Yemm, Will Bateman, John-Paul Negrinotti, Kris Croskery-Hodgins and Charles Barton.
The meeting was called to order at 6:30 p.m.

R2018-087 L. Smith, T. Marchant: That the minutes of the meeting held April 17, 2018 be adopted as published. Carried.
R2018-088 L. Andersen, L. Smith: That we pass By-Law Number 2018-25, being a By-law to appoint an officer for the purpose of the enforcement of the Building Code Act, its regulations and the Building By-Law for The Corporation of the Township of Nipissing.
Read a first, second and third time and passed this 8th day of May, 2018. Carried.
R2018-089 T. Marchant, L. Andersen: That we pass By-Law Number 2018-26, being a by-law to enter into an Ontario’s Main Streets Revitalization Initiative Agreement.

R2018-090 L. Smith, T. Marchant: That we adopt a policy providing the Use of Municipal Resources During an Election Campaign Rules and Procedures as directed by the Municipal Elections Act, 1996, 88.18. Carried.
R2018-091 L. Smith, L. Andersen: That we accept the correspondence as presented. Carried.
R2018-092 T. Marchant, L. Andersen: That the statement of accounts dated: April 18 and May 3 and 7, 2018; totaling $149,570.33, be approved. Carried.

R2018-093 L. Smith, T. Marchant: That this part of our meeting will be closed to the public as authorized by Section 239(2) of the Municipal Act, 2001, c. 25, for consideration of the following subject matter:

R2018-095 L. Smith, L. Andersen: That we pass By-Law No. 2018-27, being a by-law to confirm the proceedings of Council at its meeting held on May 8, 2018. Read the first, second and third time and passed this 8th day of May, 2018. Carried.
R2018-096 T. Marchant, L. Andersen: That the meeting be adjourned. Time: 7:59 p.m. Next regular meeting May 22, 2018. Carried.
