TOWNSHIP OF NIPISSING
Tuesday, September 7, 2021
A special meeting of the Township of Nipissing Council was held on Tuesday, September 7, 2021.
In response to the Provincial regulations in response to COVID-19, the meeting was held at the Township of Nipissing Community Centre, 2381 Hwy 654 and livestreamed to the Township of Nipissing YouTube Channel.
Present: Mayor Tom Piper and Councillors Steve Kirkey, Tom Marchant, Liz Moore and James Scott.
Present: Peggy Young-Lovelace, Acting CAO-Clerk-Treasurer Kris Croskery-Hodgins.
Disclosure of pecuniary interest: None.
R2021-187 S. Kirkey, L. Moore: That this part of our meeting will be closed to the public as authorized by Section 239(2) of the Municipal Act, 2001, c. 25, for consideration of the following subject matter:
b) personal matters about an identifiable individual, including municipal or local board employees;
d) labour relations or employee negotiations;
Time: 5:08 p.m. Carried.
R2021-188 S. Kirkey, J. Scott: That we resume to an open public meeting. Time: 6:33 p.m. Carried.
R2021-189 L. Moore, J. Scott: WHEREAS Council has engaged E4M to assist in the recruitment for the CAO-Clerk position;
AND WHEREAS E4M has advised Council that recruitment for a Municipal Administrator is best suited to the requirements;
AND WHEREAS E4M has engaged in a selection process with Kris Croskery-Hodgins;
NOW THEREFORE Council amends the title of the position to Municipal Administrator;
AND Council enters into an Employment Contract for the position of Municipal Administrator with Kris Croskery-Hodgins;
AND Council shall establish performance expectations for the position. Carried.
R2021-190 S. Kirkey, J. Scott: That the meeting be adjourned. Time: 6:35 p.m. Next regular meeting to be held September 7, 2021. Carried.
