Prequalification for Bear Creek Bridge Reconstruction

The Township of Nipissing is accepting requests for Pre-Qualification submissions from contractors that are interested in pre-qualifying to be invited to submit their bid for the Construction Tender of the Bear Creek Bridge Reconstruction. The Pre-qualified Contractors List will be determined by the Township after evaluation of all submissions. Tenders will be sent to the pre-qualified contractor list and tender packages will be made available to those satisfying approval requirements.

The scope of contracting works to be provided to the Township includes, but is not limited to:

Bear Creek Bridge Reconstruction

Modular Steel Bridge Construction on Concrete Abutments
Removal of an existing Multi-Plate Superstructure
Excavation, backfilling, compaction
Erosion and sedimentation control
Traffic control
All other works identified in the Tender to be issued at a later date

The Statement of Qualification submissions shall be received by the Township by April 28^th 2026 by 3:00 p.m. local time. The Township will proceed with the evaluation of the submissions and proceed with Tender by invitation to the selected contractors.

Respondents are cautioned that by asking to be pre-qualified they are committing to completing the construction of this Bridge within the timing established by the Township as having achieved 100% completion of the New Bridge Construction by August 26th, 2026. The Respondents also understand that the site will be left fully reinstated at that time to the Township of Nipissing in order for the Township to finalize the guiderail system and paving, and have the road re-opened after paving in advance of school start.
