TOWNSHIP OF NIPISSING
Tuesday, April 21, 2020
A regular meeting of the Township of Nipissing Council was held on Tuesday, April 21, 2020.
In response to the Declaration of Emergency for Covid-19, the option of joining the Council meeting electronically was provided to Council and Staff.
Present Via Zoom Meeting Platform: Mayor Tom Piper and Councillors Tom Marchant, Liz Moore and James Scott.
Fire Chief Will Bateman, Operations Superintendent Dan MacInnis, Treasurer-Deputy Clerk Kris Croskery-Hodgins, EDO-CEMC-Planning Assistant John-Paul Negrinotti and CAO-Clerk Charles Barton.
The meeting was called to order at 6:30 p.m.

Moore: That we pass By-Law Number 2020-21, being a By-law to specify the annualized tax limit, prior year current value assessment tax limit, claw back percentages, the capping threshold parameters and the minimum tax level for new to class/new construction properties for the Township of Nipissing.

R2020-81 J. Scott, L. Moore: That we defer imposing interest and penalty on taxes not paid by the due date of March 31st as stated in By-Law 2019-22, for the month of May 2020 to provide relief to taxpayers affected by the ongoing Covid-19 Health Emergency. Carried.
