South Shore Education Centre is located in the village of Nipissing, is a Kindergarten to Grade 8 school. The school serves the communities of Nipissing and Restoule and the residents of the South Shore and Alsace areas.

The Conseil scolaire public du Nord-Est de l’Ontario (CSPNE) intends to open a French Public School in the Parry Sound area as of September 2019. The Township of Nipissing falls within the school’s catchment area targeted by this new school.
