A regular meeting of the Township of Nipissing Council was held on Tuesday, March 20, 2018.
Present: Mayor Tom Piper, Councillors Linda Andersen, Tom Butler, Tom Marchant and Liz Smith.
Staff and visitors present: Oscar Poloni, Kris Croskery-Hodgins and Charles Barton.
The meeting was called to order at 6:30 p.m.
Disclosure of pecuniary interest: None.
Presentation: Powassan and District Union Public Library requested a deferral of the 2018 Budget presentation to a future Council meeting.
Presentation: Oscar Poloni, KPMG provided a presentation to Council explaining the financial position of the Township of Nipissing and provided comparisons to area municipalities.

R2018-060 L. Smith, T. Marchant: That the minutes of the meeting held March 6, 2018 be adopted as published. Carried.
R2018-061 L. Andersen, T. Butler: That we pass By-Law Number 2018-18, being a By-law to provide for fees charged by the Corporation of the Township of Nipissing.
Read a first, second and third time and passed this 20th day of March, 2018. Carried.
R2018-062 T. Marchant, L. Smith: That we accept the correspondence as presented. Carried.
R2018-063 T. Butler, L. Andersen: That the statement of accounts dated: March 8 and 20, 2018; totaling $352,875.29, be approved. Carried.
R2018-064 L. Smith, L. Andersen: That we accept the resignation of Councillor Tom Butler from the North Almaguin Planning Board,
And that we appoint Councillor Tom Marchant to the North Almaguin Planning Board. Carried.

R2018-065 L. Smith, T. Marchant: That we pass By-Law No. 2018-19, being a by-law to confirm the proceedings of Council at its meeting held on March 20, 2018. Read the first, second and third time and passed this 20th day of March, 2018. Carried.
R2018-066 T. Butler, L. Andersen: That the meeting be adjourned. Time: 8:06 p.m. Next regular meeting April 3, 2018. Carried.
