TOWNSHIP OF NIPISSING
Tuesday, May 5, 2020
A regular meeting of the Township of Nipissing Council was held on Tuesday, May 5, 2020.
In response to the Declaration of Emergency for Covid-19, the option of joining the Council meeting electronically was provided to Council and Staff.
Present Via Zoom Meeting Platform: Mayor Tom Piper and Councillors Linda Andersen, Tom Marchant, Liz Moore and James Scott.
Fire Chief Will Bateman, Treasurer-Deputy Clerk Kris Croskery-Hodgins, EDO-CEMC-Planning Assistant John-Paul Negrinotti and CAO-Clerk Charles Barton.
The meeting was called to order at 6:30 p.m.

R2020-95 T. Marchant, L. Andersen: That we support BELL in their Application to the Canadian Radio-television and Telecommunications Commission (CRTC) Broadband Fund, to assist in providing broadband Internet access services in eligible, underserved areas across Canada. Carried.

R2020-97 L. Andersen, L. Moore: That in response to the Provincial Emergency Health Declaration, we postpone the opening of the Nipissing Township Museum for the month of May; or until restrictions are lifted.
AND that we defer the starting date of staff and student for the month of May. Carried.
