TOWNSHIP OF NIPISSING
Tuesday, October 15, 2019

A regular meeting of the Township of Nipissing Council was held on Tuesday, October 15, 2019.

Present: Mayor Tom Piper, Councillors Linda Andersen, Tom Marchant and Liz Moore.
Regrets: Councillor James Scott
Staff and visitors present: Andre Boileau, Rose Haufe, Dan MacInnis, Will Bateman, John-Paul Negrinotti, Kris Croskery-Hodgins and Charles Barton.

The meeting was called to order at 6:30 p.m.

Disclosure of pecuniary interest: None.

Staff Reports:
Dan MacInnis, Operations Superintendent – written and verbal report.
Operations Superintendent MacInnis left the meeting.
Will Bateman, Fire Chief – verbal report.
John-Paul Negrinotti, EDO-CEMC-Planning Assistant – verbal report.

The presentation from Joseph Bradbury, CAO, District of Parry Sound Social Services Administration Board, will be moved to the November 19, 2019 Agenda due to scheduling conflicts.

R2019-195 L. Moore, T. Marchant: That the minutes of the meeting held October 1, 2019 be adopted as published. Carried.

R2019-196 T. Marchant, L. Andersen: THAT we reinstate the Ad Hoc Landfill Committee with a purpose of reviewing the current recycling services and public education strategies for household waste and recycling for the Township of Nipissing.
Members shall include: Bob Meister, Garnet Hughes, Andre Boileau and Doug Walli.
Council representatives: James Scott and Tom Marchant.
Staff representatives: Dan MacInnis and Kris Croskery-Hodgins. Carried.

R2019-197 L. Andersen, L. Moore: That we accept the correspondence as presented. Carried.

R2019-198 L. Andersen, T. Marchant: That the statement of accounts dated October 1, 10 and 15, 2019; totaling $205,133.13 be approved. Carried.

R2019-199 L. Moore, T. Marchant: That we pass By-Law No. 2019-39, being a by-law to confirm the proceedings of Council at its meeting held on October 15, 2019.
Read the first, second and third time and passed this 15th day of October, 2019. Carried.

R2019-200 T. Marchant, L. Andersen: That the meeting be adjourned. Time: 7:24 p.m. Next regular meeting November 19, 2019. Carried.
