Council will be considering amendments to the following By-Law at the June 2, 2026 regular Council meeting.

Add a Definition as 1.18, all numbers following will adjust.
To:
1.18 Municipal Administrator means the person appointed by the Township and assumes duties pursuant to Section 229 of the Municipal Act, Chief Administrative Officer.
Purpose for amendment:
To provide clarification of the position and title.
Add a paragraph to Section 3.3
To:
In the event the Head of Council becomes unable to continue in the role due to resignation of the seat, illness or death; the Deputy Mayor shall assume the Head of Council role for the remainder of the Council term as the candidate with the most votes from the most recent election.
The Deputy Mayor may decline this seat for any reason. Council will then vote among them for the replacement for the Mayoral seat.
Purpose of amendment:
To provide in written procedure the method of selection of the Mayoral seat in the event of a vacancy.
The public is invited to provide comments and input on the Procedural By-Law 2022-34 to Council in written form for consideration. Council will review any submissions during the June 2, 2026 meeting.
Consideration of a final draft of the Procedure By-Law amendments will take place on June 16, 2026, with an expectation to adopt any changes provided.
Comments and input must be no later than 12:00 (Noon) on Friday, May 29, 2026 in order to be included with the Council packages for consideration.
