TOWNSHIP OF NIPISSING

Tuesday, May 21, 2013

A regular meeting of the Township of Nipissing Council was held on Tuesday, May 21, 2013.

Present: Mayor Pat Haufe and Councillors Tom Butler, Dougal Culham, Tom Piper and Liz Smith.

Staff and visitors present: Dave Yemm; John-Paul Negrinotti and Kris Croskery-Hodgins.

The meeting was called to order at 6:30 p.m.

Disclosure of pecuniary interest: Mayor Pat Haufe and Councillor Liz Smith.

R2013-114 L. Smith, T. Piper: That the minutes of the meeting held May 7, 2013 be adopted as published. Carried.

R2013-115 T. Butler, D. Culham: That we approve in principle the conveyance of Pilgers Road which bisects Lot 2, Concession 12 (Doucette).
All expenses to be covered by the applicant. Carried.

R2013-116 T. Piper, L. Smith: That we pass By-Law No. 2013-19, being a By-Law to authorize the Township to enter into a site plan agreement with Dr. P.A. Blachut, Inc.
Read a first, second and third time and passed this 21st day of May, 2013. Carried.

R2013-117 D. Culham, T. Butler: That we recommend consent application No. B/12/NIPISSING/2013, addition to a lot, applicant Elaine and Chris Setchell, for approval. The lot must comply with the consent policies of Section 5.2.2 and 5.2.3 in the Township of Nipissing’s Official Plan. Any travelled road situated on the subject property should be transferred to the municipality for road purposes. Carried.

R2013-118 L. Smith, T. Piper: That we recommend consent application No. B/17/NIPISSING/2013, creation of a new lot, applicant Glen McConnell, for approval. The lot must comply with the consent policies of Section 5.2.2 and 5.2.3 in the Township of Nipissing’s Official Plan. Any travelled road situated on the subject property should be transferred to the municipality for road purposes. Carried.

R2013-119 T. Butler, D. Culham: That we recommend Sale of an Easement application No. B/18/Nipissing/2013, applicants Gilbert and Vera Byers, for approval. The purpose and effect of the proposed consent is to add Part 3, Plan 42R-19885, Part of PIN 52217-0441 to PIN 52217-0032 in order to access PIN 52217-0073. The lot must comply with the consent Policies of Section 5.2.2 and 5.2.3 of the Township of Nipissing Official Plan. Carried.

R2013-120 T. Piper, L. Smith: That we accept the correspondence as presented. Carried.

Mayor Pat Haufe declared pecuniary interest as his Spouse volunteers for the management Board of the Commanda Museum, listed in the Accounts.
Councillor Smith declared pecuniary interest as her Employer is listed in the Accounts.

R2013-121 D. Culham, T. Butler: That the statement of accounts dated, May 6, May 8 and May 21, 2013, totaling $75,555.52, be approved. Carried.

R2013-122 D. Culham, T. Butler: That we request a delegation with the Minister of Municipal Affairs and Housing at the 2013 AMO Conference to present the request for consent granting authority. Carried.

R2013-123 T. Butler, D. Culham: That we pass By-Law No. 2013-20, being a by-law to confirm the proceedings of Council at its meeting held on May 21, 2013. Read the first, second and third time and passed this 21st day of May, 2013. Carried.

R2013-124 T. Piper, L. Smith: That the meeting be adjourned. Time: 7:44 p.m. Next regular meeting June 11, 2013. Carried.
