A regular meeting of the Township of Nipissing Council was held on Tuesday, January 19, 2016.

Present: Mayor Pat Haufe and Councillors Tom Butler, Tom Piper and Liz Smith.

Staff and visitors present: John-Paul Negrinotti and Charles Barton.
Regrets: Councillor Dougal Culham

The meeting was called to order at 6:30 p.m.

Piper: That we pass By-Law 2016-04, being a By-law to authorize the Township to enter into a Site Plan Agreement with Kenneth John Kendall and Mary Louise Kendall Re: in the Township of Nipissing, in the District of Parry Sound, Part of the Original Road Allowance in front of Lot 11, Concession 18, Part 1 Plan 42R20288, being PIN 52221-0694 (LT).
Read a first, second and third time and passed this 19th day of January, 2016. Carried.

R2016-12 T. Piper, T. Butler: That we pass By-Law 2016-05, being a By-law to authorize the Township to enter into a Site Plan Agreement with Fred Welsh and Debbie Clark Re: In the Township of Nipissing, in the District of Parry Sound, Part Lot 24, Concession 3 and 4, being parts 2 and 4 on Plan 42R20488.

Smith: That we pass By-Law 2016-06, being a By-law to authorize the Township to enter into a Site Plan Agreement with Dale and Susan Cunningham, Re: In the Township of Nipissing, in the District of Parry Sound, Part Lot 24, Concession 4 and 5, being Part 1 and 2 on Plan 42R19917 Save and Except Part 1 and 2 on Plan 42R20488, Save and Except Part 4 on Plan 42R19916.

R2016-14 T. Piper, L. Smith: That we pass By-Law 2016-07, being a By-law to authorize the Township to enter into a Site Plan Agreement with Ronald Rudolf Brenner and Deborah Adelia Brenner, Re: in the Township of Nipissing, in the District of Parry Sound, Lot 4, Concession 1.

R2016-15 T. Butler, T. Piper: That we hereby grant permission to Foote’s General Store to operate the LCBO-Agency Store located within their premises on Family Day. Carried.

R2016-16 L. Smith, T. Butler: That we hereby grant permission to Young’s South Shore Centre to operate the LCBO-Agency Store located within their premises on Family Day. Carried.

R2016-17 T. Piper, L. Smith: That we participate in the City of North Bay Household Hazardous Waste Program. Carried.

Final Draft January Newsletter was presented.

R2016-18 L. Smith, T. Piper: That we accept the correspondence as presented. Carried.

R2016-19 T. Butler, T. Piper: That the statement of accounts dated: January 14 and 18, 2016, totaling $106,679.92, be approved. Carried.

Councillor Tom Butler declared a conflict of interest for the next item as Tracy Butler is his Spouse.

R2016-20 L. Smith, T. Piper: That we accept the resignation of Tracy Butler from the position of Museum Curator. Carried.

R2016-21 T. Piper, T. Butler: That we amend Resolution R2015-253 to authorize Dave Yemm to attend the 2016 ROMA/OGRA Combined Conference. Carried.

R2016-22 T. Butler, L. Smith: That we pass By-Law No. 2016-08, being a by-law to confirm the proceedings of Council at its meeting held on January 19, 2016. Read the first, second and third time and passed this 19th day of January, 2016. Carried.

R2016-23 T. Piper, T. Butler: That the meeting be adjourned. Time: 8:02 p.m. Next regular meeting February 2, 2016. Carried.
